This is from tracking the other day. The part was mostly played in the mid to lower range so you can see that we used a Royer 121 front side to really get the body of the lower notes and some hammer action with slight decay from the back of the ribbon element. An AKG 414 in cardioid pattern provided the sparkle and resonance flowing from the middle of the piano. Panned left and right with phase reverse sounds unbelievably open and 3D sounding!
